Google Doc spreadsheet not refreshing

    Hi,

    Superb piece of functionality – and got everything working very nicely, except when using the Google spreadsheet live export function, the spreadsheet isn’t reflecting the database within WP.

    If I recreate a new spreadsheet, add the script and paste the code in A1 – it’s fine again… but it won’t update when a new contact line gets added OR I remove a line from the database manually.

    Wondering if it’s a cache thing?

    Any thoughts? What you’ve done is amazing and is really helping me automate this process. At the moment though I’m a bit stuck.

    Quick update – it does seem to update eventually – but can’t explain why or how!! I came back to it several hours later and everything was as live…

    This is a known issue. Google SS does not provide an API to refresh the data.
    I can get it to refresh sometimes by editing the formula field (add a character then delete it) to try to trick it into thinking there is a change. Other than that when it decides to update itself seems to be a mystery.

    Michael – thanks for taking the trouble to write… confirms my suspicions… just wish I hadn’t wasted 2 hours fiddling with it this morning!
