Data imports

I have a large case law database I wish to import into wordpress.

I will need to create custom fields, which is fine, but will than have to deal with a situation where one case may have one citation, and the next might have fifteen. This occurs also for external links, for cases referred to and for statutory references.

CSV importer is v good, but allows in effect only one entry/line for each custom field – though it converts comma separated category names into separate categories.

I am starting this as a long project. Any advice will be welcome. I anticipate some coding.
