How to locate Embedded Styles location ?

    The main paragraph text in my posts has suddenly reduced in size. I have used Firefox’s developer toolbar to look at the style sheets and it shows there is an embedded styles overiding the main styles sheet. If i change the font size on teh embedded styles the main paragraph blog font increases which is what i need.

    My problem is i can’t find the file where i need to edit the embedded style.

    If i look at .css information it just shows my domain name.

    I’ve looked in index.php and everywhere within the WordPress appearance editor but no luck.

    Any ideas ?

    i am using Studio Press Genesis plus child News Theme.

  • Since this is a commercial theme with its own functionalities and support system, I recommend you contact the theme developer for assistance: https://www.studiopress.com/support/

    general, you can try and force the ‘correct’ style;
    example
    .whatever { font-size: 30px!important; }

    the rest is detective work and intuition; the style could be from anywhere such as plugins, textwidgets, copy/paste, …

    it is certainly worth checking with the theme author/seller.

    you could post a link to your site for another pair of eyes to look at it, although, css is actually not the main purpose of this forum.

    Just to echo alchymyth’s post – to rule out a plug-in issue, have you tried deactivating any recently-added (or -updated) plug-ins to see if the problem goes away? Then reactivate one by one to find the culprit.

    Many thanks for all your help and suggestions.

    I deactivated all plugins and found that one called Ad Injection was the culprit. When deactivated all post text reverted back to the correct size.

    I will try and find a similar plugin to do the job.
