• About 2 weeks ago, I replaced All-in-One-SEO with Yoast’s SEO plug-in. Yesterday, when checking my Google WMT, I found errors with my xml sitemap, calling out issues with re-directs. I narrowed that down to the author archives, and disabled them, but when I tried to check my sitemap, I got a 404 error. Strangely, WMT shows that it has received sitemap_index.xml, but when I expand that, it is comprised of:
    category-sitemap.xml
    page-sitemap.xml
    post-sitemap.xml
    post_tag-sitemap.xml

    all of which show 404s.

Frankly, I’m a bit lost here, and any help would be very much appreciated. Site is https://docsheldon.com

Also, although WMT currently shows that 404s are returned for all four, when I C&P the links into my address bar, the page-sitemap.xml and post-sitemap.xml do resolve. Catgory-sitemap.xml and post_tag-sitemap.xml both return a broken link error

    Hello, geilt-

It’s not a perfect solution, by any means, but what I ended up doing was to uninstall Yoast’s SEO plug-in and revert to All-In-One SEO. I was never able to track down where the conflict existed, so I just gave up. In my opinion, All-In-One SEO is a great plug-in, I was just hoping to take advantage of some of Yoast’s other features.

I have to say, I’m a little surprised that this thread never drew a response from anyone. Surely we’re not the only people to have experienced this issue.

I’m also having problem with resubmitting sitemap I generated using yoast SEO plugin. Initially I used simple sitemap plugin and it went through smoothly, but after 2weeks I made a couple of changes on my existing articles so I want to resubmit using yoast sitemap but the result is error.

the nice thing i want with yoast SEO plugin is I can see how my article will rank on search engine..but when I check now my snippet appears on search engine it is not like how I see it on my yoast SEO plugin ??

Anybody please enlighten me with this.
