Mapped sub domain on Multisite stopped working

  • Can someone please assist

    I have a site timeoutbookings.co.za with a number of subdomain which have domain mappings to the following domain names;
    ? glenburn.za.net
    ? michelangelo.za.net
    ? kwamaritane.za.net
    ? valleylodge.za.net
    ? melrosearch.za.net
    ? mistyhills.za.net
    ? mountgrace.za.net

    For some reason the subdomains stopped working today and I’m not sure if the problem is with the domain, hosting service or wordpress. I removed the mapping for glenburn.za.net then the subdomain link https://glenburn.timeoutbookings.co.za/ works

    Please can you advise

    Network Error (dns_server_failure) accessing ” https://glenburn.za.net/”

    Your request could not be processed because an error occurred contacting the DNS server.

    The DNS server may be temporarily unavailable, or there could be a network problem.

    That’d be my guess right there.

    Thank you for the quick response, I have forwarded it to my hosting service.

    Hosts sometimes wipe out things like wildcard records when they do system updates.

    I’ve managed to sort the problem out but am not sure what caused it.
    I had to remove the parked domains from the main account timeoutbookings.co.za and then I re-parked the domains to the main account and it worked.

    Very confusing and I would like to know what happened so that I can prevent it recurring

    Again, that’s all server side. Talk to your host. Ask them if they did even routine stuff.

    All that setup is before the domain requests even get to WordPress.
