is WordPress the ‘son’ of b2 ?

  • hello all,
    I would like to know what is wordPress to b2 …
    I know WordPress uses b2, but has the b2’s developpement stopped ?
    I mean … all the new releases of b2 will be under the name of WordPress ?
    or did I miss something ?
    please answer me, I would like to know if I must upgrade to WordPress or wait to an hypothetical new release of b2 (without having to import for all the releases of both systems)
