Turn Off Comment Subscribe for a post?

I got in trouble with my host a few months ago because a site I have, running Drupal, was exceeding the allowable auto-emails. I’m in the process of converting to WordPress and I want to add that functionality back in. My comments per day are pretty low but when I’ve had a contest “leave a comment to enter” well, that’s where i got in trouble.

Long story short, is there any way to turn off the ability to subscribe to comments for a particular post?
