New Users Registering every 6 to 10 Minutes. What’s this…Is this spam ??

  • Please, I need some help.
    I think my website is affected with spam..

    I run a Article Directory Website, in the past 2 days, there were more than 600 new registrations and about 70 postings were made…

    Every 6 to 10 minutes, a new user is being registered and some times it takes 15 to 20 minutes.

    But when i checked my Google Analytics, there were only 4 to 5 visits mentioned in the last 2 days…

    Please, can any one tell whether its a BOT registering and posting the posts.

    Please any idea. How to check this..

    Hi Esmi,

    Today evening, I have installed “SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam”.

    In spite of installing this Anti-spam plugin, every 20 minutes a user is being registered…how to stop this Spam.

    Any other way to do this..pls check my website https://www.ezeearticles.com

    Our website is affected with spam,
    Every 5 to 6 minutes, a new user is being registered. i asked about this in WP forums.

    As per the advice from the WP forums, i have installed captcha plug-in to get rid of spam.

    After installing captcha plug-in also, it did not work. the registrations were continuing..

    Ok i thought of uninstalling the website and reinstalling the website.
    so i uninstalled the website. so there only the hosting company’s banner was displaying in the website.

    At this time also, the new registrations continued,

    I could find this at the Email id registered with that domain.

    So again, i re-installed the website, and there, these new registrations appeared.

    Please help me, how to remove this spam and save the website.
