  • If there isn’t an options to change the tooltip text (I think you have enough knowledge to know this), you can change it into the plugin directly !
I mean, you can modify the .php files which are in your folder called “socialgrid”.
But keep in mind, when there will be a new release of the plugin, if you do the update, your modification will be lost (if you don’t keep a copy of the modified file somewhere else).

I modified the text in the sg.php file and re-uploaded it, but it didn’t change. Any other file I might be able to modify?

No, I made a search in the folder, the only file that contains “My Facebook Profile” is sg.php.

It’s strange, are you sure you’ve uploaded it correctly ?
Do you use a cache plugin on your site like WP Super Cache ??? It could be the reason why the text is still show “My Facebook Profile” instead of the new text.

Hey guys I know this issue is a bit old, but I just wanted to shout out here to let you all know the issue has been fixed.

I did not realize there was a special forum for asking questions related to my plugin! I just found all of these today and promptly solve as many bugs as I could.

I just pushed version 2.4 which has been tested with the latest version of WP and fixes your issue. Problem was, I was storing the names in the DB from my code rather than pulling them directly from the code. That has been fixed, so if you edit the naming in sg.php, it will reflect that on your site.

    Happy blogging!
