Getting home tab to revert to home page

As a total newbie, my site works well with the exception of my not being able to get the Home tab on the top menu bar to revert to my home page. Upon clicking it I land on a page that is not https://www.mysite.com. Instead what appears is a what would seem to be a post named Home, with “edit” underlined below that. Everything else looks normal on the page. It’s just not the actual home page with my most recent post.

The home tab appeared originally when I downloaded and set up my theme, Weaver. I deleted something early on which probably created this problem. I tried to create this home tab by creating a page, then putting it under “Menu”. Just can’t get it to work. Obviously I’m doing something wrong. Any thoughts?
