How to link a menu item to a custom page..?

Hi people,

so i managed to create a php file where i list all the post of this month… now i’m not sure how i can access that page via a menu item..

Like in menu i added a custom link.. but i don’t know where i need to point it?

Now i thought of making a category like this-month-postings and then i can point it to mydomain.com/category/this-month-postings and then have a custom category-this-month-postings.php (but then i won’t add my posts manually to the category, so in fact its an empty category, but as it is linked to a custom category template it will show posts.. i hope you understand it xD)

but is that a good strategy to do or what would be better??
