• This is my first go at the multisite feature within WordPress 3.0. I still have a WordPress MU site up and running but plan on upgrading once I get a solution to my problem. I created a new internal WordPress site and everything is working just fine. It is running on SLES 11 with the LAMP stack installed. I had a user who stated they were unable to access the latest blog, I had mutisite feature installed, using IE. I had no problems as I use Firefox but internally IE is still the primary browser used so changing is not an option. Once I disabled the mutisite feature everything is working correctly. Here is what happens in IE. You try and access the login page – https://blogsite/wp-login.php which brings up the login page. With Firefox once you login you go to the Admin Dashboard but with IE it appears you get redirected because the URL changes to https://blogsite/wp-login.php?redirect_tohttp%3A%2F%2Fblogsite%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1 How or what do I need to do to fix this issue?

No one else is experiencing this problem?

Tried that along with a machine that has never access the site and a brand-new clean install of Windows XP with IE 7 and still the same issue. Don’t understand why IE is trying to redirect and Firefox isn’t. This sucks! Everyone should just use Firefox but unfortunately there are too many users that still depend on IE.

    Any other thoughts?

As of WordPress 3.2, IE 6 support will be no more. As IE 7 is BARELY an upgrade from IE 6, I would say ‘Upgrade.’ or ‘Use a better browser.’ Yes, many people are dependent on IE, but at a certain point you have to give it up.

WP works fine for me on IE 8.
