dumb question – .com export-themes/images

    Hello All

    I have just gone from wordpress.com to www.remarpro.com.

    I have been using the duotone theme, and it all worked ok on wordpress.com.

    Since I did the transfer I have error messages all over and my archives page has gone.

    I am getting frustrated and installed a new theme to see if that would resolve the issues, only to have probs again with the image sizes.

    This may be a dumb blond question, so please forgive me (we all have to start somewhere!:D) but when I install themes on www.remarpro.com do I have to play around with the css to make them right again? surely if i install a premade theme it should just work, with no probs?

    I am happy to delete all my posts and start my blog from scratch, but dont want to do this if it means my problems are just going to re-occur. Or is it a case of the problems are occurring due to the export/import from wordpress.com?

    please help, going round in circles. I am not a css expert, I only came to www.remarpro.com as I wanted more in terms of plugins and widgets.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Sorry for the delaying in replying, I did all those things and kept going around in circles so I decided to go with another theme in the end.

    I am learning lots already and learning different plugins affect different themes differently already, very frustrating! ??
