Scrolling Slide show problem

Hi,
I am using the Delicious template and I have a scrolling slide show playing in the middle of the page that shows images with text beside them. The images are linked to the long form of the text, but as the slide show plays the images are filtering too rapidly, so there isn’t enough time to read the text. How can I change the timing so that the images stay stationary for a longer period?
