'continue reading' fails to display the full post…desperate!

  • If I try to reach the post under ‘recent posts’, ‘categories’ or ‘archives’ in the side bar of the home page, it takes me to a partial post with a ‘continue reading’ button which when pressed only gives me the same partial post, not the full post.
    I am desperate for some help here…could someone please assist?
    PS When I access the post via the blog tab I get the full post…the partial post problem only occurs when I access the posts via the side bar avenues)

    have you tried:

    -deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down and possibly fix the problem. If the problem goes away, activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin.

    -switching to the default theme (“twentyten”) for a moment by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue.

    -if that does not resolve the issue, you may try increasing memory available for php.
