Reinstall my WordPress, is the data (from MySQL) still exists?

    Hi,

    I’m going to delete all WordPress 3.0.2 files from public_html, and reinstall the WordPress 3.1.3. I’m not meaning to upgrade but, is the data from MySQL still exists? After install, is the posts/pages/comments are still exists? And what do I need before the reinstall?

    My WordPress has a lot of non-functional files, such as index.css, testing.html, etc over 100 files. Really boring to delete it manually.

    Sorry if this doesn’t relative to Installation subforum, should move to Miscellaneous.
