Unexpected t-string error

  • As with the last update to 3.1.2, my site has been replaced with the following error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/aubriej1/public_html/wp-admin/index.php on line 11

    This seems to happen every time I update my version of WordPress. Can anyone tell me what to do, and how to prevent it from happening again?
