need help adding different languages to a site

  • I am trying to add a way to let people select a language on my website Boutique Hotels Croatia. I asked a question before about a plugin (qTranslate – I couldn’t figure out how to add languages) but I can’t seem to get that to work so I want to start over. I’d like to have the ability to add English(default), French and Croatian and let visitors select the language of their choice like this site(look in top right corner).
    Can this be done – how? Do I have to manually add the translated comment or can it be translated ‘on the fly’?

    How do I add .mo files? I see the directory here. I clicked on one of the languages I need and I see a bunch of links – I have no idea which one to grab and what to do – help

    Can someone just direct to a tutorial that shows how I can add this function to my site? I don’t care how I have to do it I just want to get it done.
