mass upload

hi, does anyone now how to import mass data to the custom fields created with magic fields. i have custom field with the data example “name, link $ name, link $ etc” i want to split the data and put it into a separate custom fields. i have a very large blog so i need to do this automatically. i thought of using add_post_meta but it does not work. thanks
