username: admin – Can I change that?

in the dashboard, users, nickname. below, a drop down menu how to display name, should then be admin or the nickname.

Ummm admin is greyed out ??

To actually change the login name of the admin user, you have to edit the mysql database directly. It’s in the wp_users table.

not username, there is a field for “nickname”. Below that, will be a drop down menu, that you can choose the nickname.
Or, go into the database.
