• Anyone know how to do this. Say for example someone tries to view a file directly, or page directly, is there a way to kill it so that they can’t?

first question: anyone know what im talking about?
second question: if anyone said yes to the first question, please help me.

  • You can use .htaccess to filter referrers, so people can only access a file or page if they clicked on a link at an you specify. Here is a very useful thread on it.

my ftp won’t allow me to upload .htaccess…or if i create a txt file with nothing in it and try to rename it to .htaccess, it still won’t let me.

and how would i block txt files? just change the gif, jpeg etc, found in that post with txt?
