• I have a problem where I am unable to post information on a recent Debian advisory.

It’s completely odd – I can post fine in my blog for everything else, but when I try and repost information from the advisory, then no matter what category was selected, I receive a 403.

    “Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/post.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/1.3.33 Server at https://www.securitywatch.co.uk Port 80″

I find this completely odd and am at a lost as to why. Any suggestions come to mind?

  • Ask your host about their mod_security setup; they might be filtering out your requests due to the presence of suspicious security-type strings.

My host throws a 406 whenever I write a post with the word “.htaccess” – I have to remove the initial dot to make it work.
