[Plugin: WordSocial] Facebook connect problem

Hmm.. I didn’t have that issue during my tests.

Could you please tell me exactly what you did ?

You should use the following steps :
– Click on “Connect with Facebook”
– This redirects to Facebook with a request for permission.
– Click on “Allow”
– You should get back on your WordPress (WordSocial configuration), with the Facebook options unlocked (screenshot 2), with a “Hello ‘your name'”.

Then, you should see the option to publish content on Facebook (screenshot 4).

I did the exact same steps, but I don’t see the options activated.
The odd thing is that on facebook the app is authorized.
I’ve also tried to de-authorize it, and authorize via another browser (firefox 4) but the same thing happens.
So, my wp version is 3.1.2, tried on chrome 11 (stable), firefox 4.01 (stable), and I’m on Mac OSX 10.6.7

Ok I also tried locally, and it works ??
So maybe it’s a hosting problem. My website is on Dreamhost, PHP Version 5.3.5, Linux 2.6.32.8-grsec-2.1.14-modsign-xeon-64
Do you need other informations?

ok thanks… I need to make some further test to find the problem. But Facebook just disabled my application (because of me :/), so WordSocial doesn’t work anymore with Facebook for now.

I hope they will reactivated my app soon. Otherwise I’ll recreate another one.

I can’t reproduce the bug on my server or locally :-/

Is it possible to install a test blog on your server and give me the admin pass of it ? So I could trace the plugin to find the bug.

I need to change my password on Facebook now when I go to Wordsocial settings I can’t get to the settings because of this. Even when I clear the messages the same thing happens.

Yeah, you have to logout facebook account into the wordsocial settings, and then login again. WordSocial, in the current version, doesn’t automatically logout if it detect the access token changed :-/ It will be that case in the next version (but I really don’t know when to release it.. As soon as it’s ready :p)

I Click on “Connect with Facebook”
and he giaved this message in a white page “Sorry, an error occured. Please contact the admin.”

I just tried, and everything seems to work.

Hmm… The second array seems weird. Because it tells me that you’re nothing into your session. What’s your browser/pc ?

I’m having the same problem as B_Dark.

I followed the thread all the way down to the bottom of the page but can’t see what the solution was.

I’m using Safari 5.1 and Firefox 7 – both give me the same error message when I click on Connect with Facebook – Twitter works perfectly, by the way.
