Updated to 3.1.2, now posts not displaying in correct order

    I just upgraded to 3.1.2. Posts are now displaying out of date order, June 2009, May 2009, June 2009, April 2009, …

    Using the Category Exclude plugin (also upgraded today).

    Theme is Sunshine, didn’t upgrade – last time it caused me a bunch of problems so saving that for last.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thanks for that comeback, esmi. I actually deactivated the plugins one by one and indeed it was the Simply Exclude (Category) plugin that did the trick. It’s now in better shape. I’m going to try deleting that plugin and installing it fresh to see if that helps. If not, I’ll try resetting the plugin folder.
