Interesting Permalink issue

I deleted a page named SERVICES and created a new one named SERVICES because I was having permalink issues with the previous setting. SERVICES has 4 subpages which were later added as children. During the creation of the pages I deleted the original .htaccess file and used the default permalink structure. When all the pages were created and were placed in the correct parent/child relationship I activated the pretty permalinks which was active before this problem began. Now I see that the permalink structure for my new SERVICES page goes like this:
https://www.domain.com/services-2
https://www.domain.com/services-2/subpage

Now, I don’t want to use https://www.domain.com/services-2 as a permalink. I want https://www.domain.com/services/

Any suggestions as to how to fix this? Thanks!
