    Im sorry, what i meant to say was:

    I activated the plugin, create a new user, then change his permission to AUTHOR, and when I access to wordpress like author, and i still can see the textbox to create tags!!

    Are you sure the author role only has standard capabilities (ie. you haven’t added any with Members plugin)? And are you also sure you are logging in as the Author role?

    If you are, try disabling other plugins you have active (especially those that are affecting user permissions & roles).

    Thanks for your support!… the only similar plugin is “Restrict Categories”.. but i will disable most of the plugins and i will let you know if that works,…thanks!
    And i am not changing anything about the roles,…i just use the standard wordpress roles…

    mmmmm…..a im using “WP USER SYNC”, to synchronize users in diferents blogs, do you think that could be that problem??

    What does it syncronise? If it syncronises roles and the roles are different on different blogs, that could cause it.

    Restrict Tags checked that the user can not ‘activate_plugins’, a capability reserved for the Administrator role only. So if any user has been manually assigned that capability, then the normal Tag metabox will be displayed.

    The plugin also removes the ‘manage_categories’ capability from all non-administrator roles. So it might be worth deactivating & reactivating the plugin.

    @thenbrent thanks for your support…

    Almost resolved!!! I did what you said:

    deactivating & reactivating the plugin

    Now, if i login as AUTHOR i can not write new tags, the problem is:
    I dont see the “tags” in the box!!..the box of tags is empty!…

    WP USER SYNC = Sincronise the tables of users in wordpress databases.
    And about the roles, I am not changing nothing about them, i am just using normal wordpress roles.
