Random Error – Redirect Loop after posting sometimes.

  • I have a problem with one my of WordPress installations.

    Randomly when I post or update an item, occasionally the public site suddenly starts sends you to the wordpress installation page.

    Of course, I deleted this page for safety so now I end up with a redirect loop.

    I contacted my hosting support (Fatcow) who have the opinion that as long as it fixes itself eventually, who cares? Well I kind of do.

    I have tried clean reinstalls but they didn’t work at all.

    I’m just wondering if anybody has been through this and solved it at all? I have no idea what to try anymore =(.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
