Fatal Error Every Few Weeks

  • I get the following:
    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/kayenta/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/german-newspaper/header.php on line 4
    Now this has been an on going issue for me for quite sometime. The only way I am able to fix this is by changing to a new theme everytime I get the “Fatal Error Page”.

    I do all my updates for my themes as well as all the Word Press Updates.

    When I change the theme everything work fine for about 2-3 weeks and then I get the dreaded:
    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/kayenta/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/german-newspaper/header.php on line 4

    Like I stated before, the only way I am able to fix this is by changing my theme to a completely new one and I am never able to use any of the other previous ones that I have used before.

    If someone could please help me it would GREATLY appreciated.

    On a side note, I am totally clueless when it comes to playing around with code, so a fairly simple and easy to understand step by step instruction to remidy this issue would be awesome.

    Please help me….anyone!
