• I have tried this several times now and the user/pass that I’m providing are indeed valid, as they log me into the CC site just fine. Yet still I get this message – This plugin is not configured with a valid Constant Contact account.

Makes the whole plugin useless as I can’t do anything from there…

    Please advise

Okay, I have just updated the plugin to Version 2.1.4, which should fix this issue if it’s caused by what I think it’s caused by, which is hosting incompatibilities with the functions fsockopen and fgets. Let me know if it works!

FYI for other people, this did fix the issue for this bdgardengirl.

    Yes it did, thanks Zack!

This problem is still occurring in version 2.2 of the plugin. I used a test Constant Contact account to build my site and the plugin worked without incident. When I switched to the real Constant Contact account, I am receiving the error “This plugin is not configured with a valid Constant Contact account.”.

The account settings are correct as they have been tested directly on Constant Contact.

This may be a result of an issue I fixed with Version 2.3, about to be released. Stay tuned!

I am using Version 2.3 and I am still having this problem. I enter my Constant Contact username and password, sometimes it works for a day, but then I come back to my site admin and see the error message that the account is not valid. When I try to log in to my Constant Contact account on their site, I get an error that I’ve been locked out and I have to reset my password. So somehow this plugin is causing my account to lock and I’ve had to change my Constant Contact password about six times now, trying to figure out what’s wrong. I hope there is a fix for this because I really like this plugin!! Thanks ??

Please try the following: uninstall the plugin using the “Remove all data stored in database” option in the main settings page, then re-install the plugin and re-configure.

Alternatively, if you are using another Constant Contact integration or software (like their computer applications for adding contacts) that is improperly configured, this may be the culprit. That other application may be causing the lockout, which would then tell the WP plugin it was improperly configured.

Let me know how this goes.

I’ve successfully used this plugin on two sites. On the third I get the same error mentioned above. If I use either of the other two accounts, it works fine. I’ve set it to remove data, deactivated, uninstalled, reinstalled—still it doesn’t work. I’m using 2.3.1. I’m using no other Constant Contact integration or software. I’ve tried this on a WordPresss default install and it’s still a problem for the account I’m trying (works fine for the previous two). Now what?

I am experiencing the same problem as wending described above. I have the plugin on a client site of mine, along with the Gravity Form plugin, as well as Gravity Form + Constant Contact, and it worked for a couple of days, and now we’re in the same circle as Wending, where we’re using a valid username/password, but it still comes up with the error, and then locks us out of constant contact, requiring a reset of the password there. Has anyone had any luck fixing this issue? Thanks!

Every day I find the Constant Contact API plug-in disabled due to a locked password for my Constant Contact account. When I go to my dashboard I see “This plugin is not configured with a valid Constant Contact account.” When I go directly to the Constant Contact website I can’t login with my credentials and am immediately asked to reset my password. I go through the process, go back to my Drupal admin tool, update the login info and the feature will work … for about a day. Anyone else encounter this and fix it? I have just downloaded the plug-in this month, so it’s the latest version. Thanks for reading this, appreciate any help.
