How to change permalinks without using the Dashboard???

  • Due to some apache version that doesn’t like wordpress my permalink setting page looks blank like this:

    How can I change from the ugly ?page_id=56 version to the fancy ones?

  • Hello flexomatic,

    First of all please go to your database phpmyadmin.

    then you can find table name “wp_options” click on this.then you can see a row with “option_name=permalink_structure”(you can find it in page number 2). you have to just edit the “option_value” field of “option_name=permalink_structure”.

    you can edit by this :: “/%postname%” or “/%category%/%postname%”

    I changed like you said, the permalink are changed to /%postname% but it gives me a broken link on the website:

    Please Make sure your .htaccess file is there in root directory of wordpress folder.
    if no then create it and paste it in the root directory.

    and paste the below code in it.
