White Space Problems

First of all I would like to say this is a great piece of software!

I have 2 problems which are all caused by my css ( I think):
1. https://basis.ba.funpic.org/thescene/pics/prob.jpg
I miss a part there, and I don’t know how to make it longer.
2. https://basis.ba.funpic.org/thescene/pics/prob2.jpg
How do I reduce the white space between posts?I really hope someone can help,
