What does the log say about the redirections? The URL seems to work for me so I would look through the logs to see what other details are available and look through your redirects to see if anything could be causing it. The problem may be an external tool that is incorrectly loading a page on your site.

You can enter a domain into the target address, but you do not need one in the source.

not sure i understand where you want me to look. under the ‘redirects’ tab? since ive posted this issue i have several more that has been logged. it appears to be looping and the same IP (not mine) as if the visitor is constantly refreshing the page. i dont get it. And i dont see a redirect for /advice/review/ in my redirects tabbed log.

maybe i dont quite understand how the redirect works after ive made a command. but they all say 301 and under a green shadow.

perhaps its my theme, as you’ve stated it could be an external tool or plugin. Gee… there are so many plugins nowadays and so many settings its so easy to get tied up straightening the blog to behave instead of building on it.

anyway… i’d really to know why this is so and whether i should be concerned or not. you are welcome to view inside my wp-admin. i would surely appreciate it.

let me know when you have a chance.

PS: ok on the source address.

If the IP is not yours then it is likely to be some bot that is running incorrectly. If you don’t have a redirect for the URL, and there is no regex rule that may accidentally match it, then it is probably the fault of the bot and not your site. Does the referrer or IP provide any details?

Btw, are these 404 errors? You could create a redirection for the URL that takes the visitor somewhere else.

Ah… okay on the regex rule. perhaps thats it. no its not my IP address, but mine was there at one time until i disabled it.

and yes it is a bot and sometimes the referrer is my domain – the continue to next page arrow brings up https://lonnieamirault.com/advice/https://lonnieamirault.com because page 2 of my advice category has no pages yet, therefore im trying to redirect this .com# page somehow. Or fix it with some kind of plugin.

there were some 404’s… yes, however ive fixed them and presently if i notice any more with the Yahoo Bot as the agent (this is the culprit), i redirect the url and let the agent know as well.

the long url’s are not 404’s, they were under the log file where the IP address is clickable to trace.

thanks so much for your time.
