Malleable Template

Hi Guys,

I recently put up a wordpress site and found myself absolutely battling with the theme which he chose to customise it. I’m a bit light on php, so that was part of it.

Anyhow, can anyone suggest a really stripped down theme which would be ideal to start with as a base or customisation.
