I get index of parent directory instead of my web posts
-
I wanted to launch wp on my site, but before doing that I set up a testing server and tried to install it there. It seems to work, all the messages say so, but when I try to look at an actual post (as opposed to the dashboard, which seems to work fine) I get the index of the parent directory, not a post to my website.
The first time this happened wordpress was in a subdirectory. I thought maybe I could fix it by putting it in root (again, we are only talking about my testing server) but it is the same result. I assume whatever I am doing wrong is simple and obvious to more learned users, but I can’t see it. Your time and assistance appreciated – and you probably need more info than I have given, but I don’t know what that would be, so let me know that, too. Thx.
