People here give up their time for free, as did the developer of the plugin in question.

is_post_type_archive() was introduced in WP 3.1

If you’re running an older version – update, it will also close multiple security holes.

Thanks Gary. The next version of the plugin will not rely on 3.1 anymore and will work with 3.0, but people should indeed update.

WP 3.1.1 update just appeared yesterday, and after install, the error went away.

    Good to hear that.

I upgraded to WP 3.1.2 and still got the error message. I deleted WP SEO and re-installed WP 3.1.2 and still get the error message, which makes no sense to me. This is preventing my readers from getting the feed in Google, which is what most of them want to use. Any ideas?

Is There any way to fix this without updating WordPress?

I’m not able to update due to other the other plug-ins I use compatibility.
