Custom Taxonomy Image Meta Help!!

Hi guys,

I’m developing my new solar panels information website and I’m looking for a solution to include custom meta data on a taxonomy…

I know that there is a plugin option, however I feel that I have enough knowledge to put it together myself with a little direction. I was wondering whether anyone else have had any success with this?

The following sites show how to add the meta data, but I think my issue is not knowing how to call the image upload script, as I’d like to have a manufacturer logo (yes, the taxonomy is called ‘manufacturer’!!)
