  • Hi

    Yeah, I get a similar error message as follows:
    DB Cache Reloaded Error: wpdb class is redefined, plugin cannot work!
    Previous definition is at /home/nick/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php:52.

    Along with this similar error message:
    DB Cache Reloaded Error: DB Module (wpdb class) is not loaded. Please open the Options Page, disable caching (remember to save options) and enable it again. If this will not help, please check FAQ how to do manual upgrade.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

    Ditto! The FAQ page has no info at all on upgrading (neither does the Installation page) so referring us to it is a waste of time. :-/

    Any advice on this would be appreciated all-round…

    Thanks in advance,

    LJ

    P.S.
    The line indicated in the error message (the first one – line 52) has the following content:

    class wpdb {

    Hi guys,

    This article has a fix that worked for me. Just disable caching, enable wrapper mode then re-enable caching. Works for now but a complete fix would be more ideal. Hope this helps somebody.

    @adam – thanks for the suggestion. I did consider using wrapper mode but it’s not only slower but less efficient than the standard mode (one or more – depending on the number of plugins enabled – query database will not be cached). Hopefully they’ll release a permanent fix for it soon ??
