Switching from HTML to Visual loses changes

  • Hi,

    When I add a new youtube video doing the embed iframe code from youtube, and switch back to Visual editor, it loses my changes. This is quite frustrating.

    I have also tried to add a video from URL using the “Add Video” link, but it only adds it as a link, not embeds it.

    Is there a fix for this or am I doing something wrong?

  • This is a well known issue between the Visual and HTML editor modes. Most people tend to stick to HTML or Visual to prevent the switch over stripping out certain tags.

    Thanks. So the “fix” at this time is to go into HTML and stay there and not switch back? Otherwise I lose the embed code.

    There’s no other way to embed video from the visual editor?
