How about you create a new admin user, and see if that one can? I’ve never seen that happen before, so I’m not sure what else you could do.

Still no luck. ?? There just isn’t an area for discussions at all on one page.

Assuming that you are using the current version, when on the Edit Posts/Edit Pages screen – click on the screen options tab in upper-right hand corner. Be sure that the discussion option is checked on the site where the Comments section is missing.
