I was just testing my blog with a new theme called Evolve. I downloaded and installed it successfully and the website looks great. The only problem I have with it it that when I go on the theme editor there is no single.php file. However, there is an evolve.php file. Can someone help me please?

  • That’s correct; the EvoLve theme doesn’t come with a single.php file. What are you trying to do?

I am just wandering will this affect my SEO efforts and do I need a single.php file with this?

Again it depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. If it displays single posts the way you want it to, then you don’t need to change anything. For SEO, if you’re using a good SEO plugin like All in One SEO, you should be fine. I hope that helps.

Okay thanks for your help. I will use All in One SEO in the future while I have this theme.

I’m in the same boat. I’m trying to disable comments on regular pages. I would build only the blog part of the site with WP if I knew there was no single.php. Any suggestions how to make regular pages look just like regular pages with EvoLve?
