  • Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme. Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

Once you have a child theme in place, you can use CSS to hide the page titles.

Thanks…I am a newbie at this and am lucky I got this far….Will learn about the child theme and employ it as soon as I get an idea of how that will work, i will incorporate it into the site….

BTW…I am having trouble linking my image files to an html link…any ideas?

Thank you so much for your help…

You’re either going to have to learn to use the HTML tab, never use the Visual tab and get your hands dirty with some markup. Or you’ll need to look for a suitable plugin.

I never use the Visual tab…I insert the image using the menu there..then try to give the link info after the location of the file….like this:

    <a href="https://www.cruzinnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tidewater_Logo-450.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-129" title="Tidewater_Logo-450" src="https://www.cruzinnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tidewater_Logo-450-300x44.jpg" alt="TideWater Boats" width="220" height="40" /></a><img src="https://www.cruzinnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tidewater_Logo" alt="" />

Then add the link to where I want it to go:

making the whole string look like this:
    <a href="https://www.cruzinnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tidewater_Logo-450.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-129" title="Tidewater_Logo-450" src="https://www.cruzinnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tidewater_Logo-450-300x44.jpg" alt="TideWater Boats" width="220" height="40" /></a><img src="https://www.cruzinnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tidewater_Logo" alt="" /><a href="https://tidewaterboats.net/"></a>

All that it does when I click n it is open the file in another window.

[Please post code snippets between backticks or use the code button.]

    When i insert a link after text…it works…see:

    That markup is broken. Try:

    <a href="https://www.cruzinnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tidewater_Logo-450.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-129" title="Tidewater_Logo-450" src="https://www.cruzinnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tidewater_Logo-450-300x44.jpg" alt="TideWater Boats" width="220" height="40" /><img src="https://www.cruzinnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Tidewater_Logo" alt="" /><a href="https://tidewaterboats.net/"></a>
