• I was trying to change my word press site that I had as .com/articles to display when someone just entered mywebsite.com I followed the tutorial and it told me to change the word press URL and site address URL to only the .com so I erased the /articles part. Now I can not view any part of my website. It says not found. How can I get it back?

  • If you ‘erased’ the /articles directory via FTP then I hope the database is still there. You can restore the site if you haven’t deleted the database. However, you may have lost the post images if don’t have a backup of the images directory.

If all you did what change those two options, then login to your admin and go back to your permalink page under settings, if you had these enabled, just visit the permalink page and click save again. That may help.

I did not do it via FTP. I did it while logged in to my WordPress account. How do I know if I deleted the database?

I really don’t know much about the lingo…What is the permalink page?

    Permalink is under Settings.
