[Plugin: EventPress] Unusable in Buddypress Authors Can't Post Events

Authors should be able to access the event creation dashboard—I check for ‘edit_event’ capabilities at https://code.google.com/p/eventpress/source/browse/trunk/eventpress/views/admin.php line 97, enhance capabilities for all user types for events, and registrations at https://code.google.com/p/eventpress/source/browse/trunk/eventpress/models/events.php, line 279 and https://code.google.com/p/eventpress/source/browse/trunk/eventpress/models/registration.php, line 144 respectively. These functions are called when the plugin is initiated for the first time.

Perhaps you can deactivate, and reactivate eventpress? Maybe the caps weren’t created the first time around or got deleted for some reason.

That fixed it….I should have tried that before tearing my hair out!!!

Any suggestions on how we can add it to the drop-down very top menu bar on buddypress single user WP ?

You mean in the buddybar? It should be coming there automatically In my Account>events.

I haven’t checked the behaviour in WP’s new admin bar yet, though.

It should be there just above “Log Out” in “My Account”. Could another plugin be interfering?

Oh duh…I see it. Sorry to be so blind. Thank you for bearing with me. I think I better drink another cup of coffee and get my eyes back in gear.
