• Please implement this. It’d be great if we could override any post/page title. This would allow for shorter title to appear in the list and in menus, but have a longer version with more keywords in the <title>

Along with this, a checkbox to disable title formatting would be cool. Platinum SEO has this feature, it’s cool

If you have a look at the plugin’s instructions, you’ll see an argument why a plugin should never be in charge of storing a post’s main title. If you’d like a plugin to store your preferred titles (or maybe to provide a total of three titles rather than just two), it would be best to use a different plugin.

With regard to title formatting, you can do anything you like to titles by capturing the output of GHPSEO and tweaking it before delivering it to the page — untexturize it, strip tags from it if it’s a secondary title, etc., etc.

    All the best,
    Greg
