Extra content blocks for the home page

    Hi there,

    I am using wordpress as a cms for a charity I am doing some work for.

    The layout of the home page contains 4 columns of content which I want to be able to manage the content of through wordpress.

    What is the best way to achieve this?

  • There a couple of ways you could approach this:

    1. Use custom fields for each column
    2. Use a plugin to make nice custom fields, I prefer to use Verve Meta Boxes
    3. Use sub-pages of the home page for each column, and use a custom loop to loop through them on your homepage template

    Any of the above would work fine, however, I would probably go with option 2 or 3!
