Total NOOB!

  • HEy everyone I am a total noob to wordpress, I am having a hell of a time installing (What should be)a simple plugin “d13slideshow”. Most of the plugins I have seen use shortcode to be inserted into pages. This this d13slideshow slide show wants me to edit an “index.php” file, it does not specify in what directory, so I edited just about every “index.php” file I could find. The instructions were, to add this code *<?php d13slideshow(); ?>* to the index.php filem but so far no slideshow.

    What am I doing wrong???

  • Hi! Are you talking about this plugin? It has an Installation instructions page which describes the steps. And I’d recommend reverting your index.php files…

    Also note that the plugin hasn’t been updated for more than a year and may not be compatible with the latest versions of WP.
