Can't Activate Child Theme

I am new WP user using the Magazine Basic theme. I have created a child theme but I do not know how to activate it.

The child theme is in a file called style.css located in a subfolder of wp-content/magazine-basic/kid. The header of the child theme .css looks like this:

When I go to Dashboard/Appearance/Themes I don’t know how to make the theme Magazine-Basic Kid appear so I can activate it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
