Sociable – Any Issues with Post Entry Page?

    I’m working on my first site – it’s coming along pretty well, I think, so far — but I’m still running the risk of asking “noob” questions in forums such as this. So, please forgive me if the answer to this may be obvious to some of you…

    And here’s what I’m running into:

    Last time I entered a new post, I noticed I lost some of the options on my entry page. I was logged in as “admin” – but the option to change the author was gone. Also, I remember there were other options for creating customer metadata, I believe, on that page as well. Those are also gone. The thing I did *most* recently that could impact the core WordPress code was install the “sociable” plug-in. I can deactivate it, of course, to test this more fully — but before I touch anything, I thought I’d post some basic questions here…

    Q1: Has anyone run into anything like this before?
    Q2: Has anyone noticed this as a result of installing sociable?
    Q3: I had also installed “Widget Logic” earlier – and I didn’t notice this problem, but is it possible there’s some incompatibility on that front (or together with sociable)? Or perhaps this came from Widget Logic alone previously – but I just didn’t notice?

    Again – I can surely test this, but I wanted to ping you guys to see if there’s a potential landmine I should be aware before I touched anything.

    Any insights most appreciated!

    All –

    Never mind — this is “resolved” as it had *nothing* to do with Sociable in any way… When I upgraded to WordPress 3.1, some of the previously-default screen fields (which I noticed on the ‘Edit Post’ page) simply became configurable options. I have them all back now.

    Had nothing to do with Sociable or any other plug in.

    Further strengthens the case for changing one things at a time, of course…
