I have many polls inside my posts that use shortcode (ie: [poll id=”1″]. I need the information in these polls to pop up in a search, so if the question reads “what is your favorite color” and guests type “color” in a search, the correct post will pop-up. I installed search unleashed thinking this would work, but it is not. Is there something I need to do so the metadata inside the shortcode is recognized? Thanks.

I agree that processing the contents of the short code in a search would be nice. Currently, it does not do this. I am not familiar with all of the processing ramifications of implementing a feature like this.

I have a plugin I made that makes heavy use of short codes for generating certain parts of certain pages, and I have hacked in the do_shortcode() function on some of WP E-Commerce’s code to get my short code to work as a product. Maybe something could easily be implemented for the search as well?
