Anyway this can be done…

  • Is there anyway to automatically put posts x days old into a category, say ‘old’? I have a lot of posts, and the page is really long and it’s getting me mad. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks!

  • Go to options > reading.
    Change the details at the top to something like 5 posts
    and now your posts wil be archived.

    You might also try the perpage plugin. You can specify how many posts should show up per page based on the kind of search being done. For example, display only 5 posts on the index page; when searching for a specific category, show 25 posts; when searching a particular month, show 999 posts; etc.

    Otherwise, I’m not sure if there is a plugin or something to do a batch category change on entries based on age.

    You could probably edit the Auto shutoff comments plugin to change the cateogry after X number of days.
